Message from the CEO
Let me start by introducing myself and explaining what ATC stands for. My name is Keisha Smith, and I am the Founder and CEO of Angels Through Christ, Inc. (ATC).
In my transparency, I am a single mother of three girls and a grandmother to two beautiful little ones (one boy and one girl). I have been out on my own since I was 17 years old. My journey has not been easy, raising three children with mental health issues…while dealing with my own.
ATC is more than a non-profit organization run by three women with their own stories. We are a dedicated FAMILY that cares about our communities of Women, Men, and Children living on the streets.
We aim to educate, provide emotional support, and provide essentials (food, clothing, etc.) for everyday living and survival for displaced HUMAN BEINGS. Our future goal is to be able to provide temporary housing for battered Women(which I once was) and young adults with no family or nowhere to go and to provide HIV testing opportunities for those in need. These are just a few of the desired accommodations where ATC can be a Service Provider.
At the core of our mission, ATC wants to be a beacon of hope! We all fall down, but we believe that anyone can “get back up” with the right help, guidance, compassion, and support. So please, do not look at us as “just another organization” that wants to provide food and shelter. We are three Women of Color who are answering our Call from God to be a vessel and solution to help protect and empower our communities…where it’s needed and because it’s our duty.
With our mission (and your support), I have FAITH that we will help CHANGE LIVES!
